Vietnam
- ao dai - traditional wear for women in the middle part of Vietnam (long dress, two panels; worn over trousers)

ao tu than - traditional wear for women in the northern part of Vietnam (long dress, four equal panels below waist) often worn with a long skirt (vay) - The two front panels can be tied together
ao ba ba - traditional wear for women in the south part of Vietnam (silk pajamas, often black but can be made in any color; a shirt that buttons down the front, is often split on the sides, and has two pockets worn with simple trousers)
ao ngu than - long dress with five panels; the fifth panel is short and buttoned to the front from the right side; usually worn over a skirt
khan dong - headwrap
non la - functional cone-shaped hat for shade from the sun, made from reeds or grasses
non quai thao - hat with a tasseled strap to help secure it on the head, wide and cone shaped to protect from the sun, made from reeds or grasses
tho cam - brocaded fabrics, traditionally hand-made
vay - skirt
yem - undergarment for women; diamond-shaped with straps around the neck and chest to secure in place
